Christmas kinda snuck up on me this year..

Here's our tree, finally! You may not be able to tell in the picture, but the bottom set of lights are white, while the rest of the tree has colored lights. This is the new trend this year - all the fashionable trees in Paris, Milan, Beverly Hills, etc. are decorated with mismatched lights. It's sort of like, shabby chic for trees.

No, it is *not* because I accidentally bought the wrong lights, and when I tried to go get another string, every single one of the 5 stores I went to was sold out of lights. No really, I meant to do this.

But next year I'm going to put the tree up a little earlier than 6 days before Christmas...

Why rush things? We didn't get one up at all this year. Next year we're going all out after 2 years w/o.

It certainly gives it a nice look. Ours has the one string, out of 3, flashing which Tim dislikes. So between the two of you, Anita and Rob, who is entertaining the thought of Christmas at who's house. I await for your answer!

We'd be happy to do Christmas next year, if everyone is willing to come this far.

We'd offer to have Christmas, as well. We just don't have room for everyone to stay with us in the house.

We have room! (not luxurious accommodations but better than in years past).

But missing the tradition of the A's party would be a bummer :(

I was thinking the very same thing.

Well let's drag the A's down to your place!!! Until next year, we'll see what happens.

Hey! Wait a minute. You guys can't just change a tradition and not come to our house on Christmas Day. It's bad luck to break a tradition that has been going on for so many years (20? maybe) You are just going to have to rework that plan. But, Tracey, thanks for inviting us - it wouldn't work for our family though. You'd better all come here.

Anita and Dave, on another note, thank you so very much for that wonderful, generous gift that you brought on Christmas. That was just too much, though it is appreciated and will be enjoyed and you will be thought of with each glass of libation.
