It's a major PITA, but here's how the grout came out. I only got the pantry done so far - this weekend, it's a groutfest for Dave and me.
Plus we haven't gotten our Christmas tree yet! Hopefully we'll get it today, although supposedly we're getting some kind of wintery storm this afternoon...

I think it's amazing that you and Dave would tackle such a professional job and still come up with super results. I was proud of myself when I put the last three finishing coats on ours, after all the grouting etc. was already done. It's all a matter of perspective!
Thanks! I think having two people makes all the difference, even if neither one has done this before. I don't think I would have tackled this job alone, it would have been overwhelming.
So now we're done with the grout (still have to seal of course), and it only took us less than 3 hours. We were done by 10:30am on this Saturday morning, leaving us with just enough energy to go out in the slush to buy our Christmas tree.
