All the windows are in now. How cool is this?

It all looks great! Now the indoor fun begins. Have you chosen your wall paints/colors yet? What are they? Floor covering? Any other interior design I should know about?

The kids will choose their wall colors from a carefully pre-selected set of colors. Hannah wants lavender, Ethan wants white. Dan recently told me that he wants blue with orange circles but I have some time to talk him out of that.

Floors will be hardwood in the foyer (installed by Dave and moi), carpet in the bedrooms (no idea what kind yet), and vinyl in the laundry room (haven't picked it yet).

I am struggling with a wall color for the upstairs hall. It will be the same color throughout the foyer, and both up and down hallways - but I don't know what I want yet. I want a warm color like tan, gold, something in the tan-gold family but I don't know if it will be too dark, too strong. So I sit here wallowing in indecision....

Colors sound nice. And Dan's blue with orange circles could be OK. It'll be HIS room so he can express himself. Did you ever see our computer room, aka Greg's original bedroom which he painted himself in his teens - a 3-wall mural which we still cherish after all these years (not sure the circle idea would last that long!) On the other hand, Dan might change his mind even before painting time comes.

Gold sounds nice for hallways. Watch out for tan, it can get to look dingy (I'm thinking of the NYC apts. that were usually tan so maybe I'm turned off for that reason.) But you have terrific taste and whatever you choose will be beautiful. And nice floor covering choices.

What's your next project?

P.S. I'm curious.... What is the "word verification" below, for? To "verify" if we can read dizzy letters and then type them? I see the little handicap character next to it!

The word verification is to prevent bots (programs) from posting here with advertisements or spam.

Our next project.... is the kitchen. After we recover financially from this one! Hopefully within a year.
